German style IPA
Today has been a busy day with many distractions. Overall, a good day. But I almost forgot my 100 day commitment! What to do? I decided to create a late evening snack, featuring a German style IPA from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. German beer and IPA is something of a contradiction, but that is what I love about Sierra Nevada, they are not afraid to try new combinations. This beer is served with Wasa Swedish crisp bread and Petit Basque French sheep's milk cheese. The glass which the beer is poured in is a reproduction of a glass found in the Vasa shipwreck from 1628. We bought it at the museum in Stockholm 20 years ago. Hand forged beer opener by my friend Ethan. And, it is all served on a curly Koa wood slab. Cheers!
