Keeping it simple, but challenging myself. I love taking photos and already have a 'photoaday' challenge so I want to do something different but related and to develop my skills. So, I am going to constrain my photo-taking to a particular focus - I will take a photo each day or create a drawing and photograph it connected to the Māori kupu o rā and I will also try to put the kupu into a sentence.

Day 40 kaitāmoko: tattooist

This sentence is not quite true because I designed my tattoo with the help of the tattoo artist. It is a triskedelia which is a Celtic symbol for rebirth, life, growth. With my help the tattoo artist added the koru which are Māori symbols of growth and rebirth. The names are those of my boys. The merging of the two symbols represents our scottish heritage and New Zealand.
